Description

FCOV Test Feline Corona Virus Antigen Test Kit is used to test FCOV, Feline Coronavirus (FCoV) is a common feline viral infection. Generally asymptomatic infection, but can cause mild diarrhea. Most cats infected with FCoV will clear the virus after infection, but some cats may develop a persistent infection. These cats are generally asymptomatic, can excrete large amounts of virus in their feces, and become a persistent source of infection for other cats in the environment. The continued circulation of FCoV in cats may increase the chance of FIP strains

Product Details

PRINCIPLE

The FCOV Test Feline Corona Virus Antigen Test Kit uses chromatographic immunoassay to qualitatively detect coronavirus antigens in cat feces. Load the sample to be tested on the sample pad, and then the capillary flows along the sample strip. The detection antibody is coupled to colloidal gold because its conjugate will be mixed with the sample solution. When FCoV antigen is present, a complex is formed by FCoV antigen and colloidal gold-labeled antibody. Then, the labeled antigen-antibody complex is bound by the second "capture-antibody" that recognizes the complex and fixed on the test strip as a T-line. Therefore, a positive result produces a visible burgundy line of antigen-antibody complexes. A burgundy C line will appear to confirm the correct operation of the test.

REAGENTS AND MATERIALS

- 10 test pouches, with cards and disposable droppers

- 10 vials of assay buffer (1000μL each)

- 1 package insert

EST PROCEDURE

- Allow all materials (including specimens and test equipment) to recover to °C. 15-25 before testing is performed

- Remove the test equipment from the foil bag and place it horizontally.

- Collection of pleural or peritoneal fluids from patient cats for filtration and centrifuge to remove impurities. Use transparent liquid in detection. In the case of pleural fluid or ascites fluid, use a dropper to prepare 1 drop (approx. μL 40) into the sample hole "S" of the test equipment. and then immediately put 2 drops (about 80μL) of detection buffer into the sample hole. Note: if the liquid specimen is sufficient, put about 0. 5 mL of liquid specimen into the detection buffer and mix well for direct use.

- In the case of stool specimens, the tip of the cat's dung is collected with a swab. Insert the swab into the supply detection buffer tube to dilute. shake to make it fully resolved and use the mixture in the detection.

- Explain the results within 15-20 minutes. The results after 20 minutes are considered invalid.

INTERPRETATION OF RESULTS

- Positive (+): The presence of both "C" line and zone "T" line, no matter T line is clear or vague.

- Negative (-): Only clear C line appear. No T line.

- Invalid: No colored line appears in C zone. No matter if T line appears.
