Product Details

The Feline Panleucopenia Antigen FPV Ag Test is a lateral flow immunochromatographic assay for the qualitative detection of feline panleukopenia virus antigen (FPV Ag) in cat's feces or vomit specimen.

PRINCIPLE

The Feline Ag Test is based on mezzanine lateral flow immunochromatography analysis. The test unit has a test window for observing test runs and reading results. Before running the test, the test window has an invisible T (test) area and a C (control) area. When the treated sample is applied to the sample hole on the device, the liquid flows horizontally across the surface of the test strip and reacts with a pre-coated monoclonal antibody. If there is an FPV antigen in the specimen, a visible T-line appears. Row C should always appear after the sample is applied, which represents a valid result. In this way, the device can accurately indicate the presence of FPV antigens in the sample.

REAGENTS AND MATERIALS

-10 test bag with card and disposable dropper

-10 measuring buffer bottles (1000 μL each)

-10 bags of cotton swab sticks

-1 package ifu

TEST PROCEDURE

- Collect cat's fresh feces or vomit with the cotton swab from cat's anus or from the ground.

- Insert the swab into the provided assay buffer tube. Agitates it to get efficient sample extraction.

- Take out the test device from the foil pouch and place it horizontally.

- Suck the treated sample extraction from the assay buffer tube and place 3 drops into the sample hole "S" of the test device.

- Interpret the result in 5-10 minutes. Result after 10 minutes is considered as invalid.

INTERPRETATION OF RESULTS

- Positive (+): The presence of both "C" line and zone "T" line, no matter T line is clear or vague.

- Negative (-): Only clear C line appear. No T line.

- Invalid: No colored line appears in C zone. No matter if T line appears.
