The Canine Influenza Virus CIV Ag Rapid Test is a lateral flow immunochromatographic assay for the qualitative detection of canine Influenza virus antigen (CIV Ag) in secretions from dog's eyes, nasal cavities, or anus.

PRINCIPLE

Canine CIV Ag Test is based on sandwich lateral flow immunochromatography. The test device has a test window for observing the test run and the result reading. The test window has an invisible T( test) area and a C( control) area before running the test. When the treated sample is coated into the sample hole on the equipment, the liquid will flow sideways through the test band surface and react with the monoclonal antibody before the coating. visible T lines appear if CIV antigen is present in the specimen. After applying the example, the C line should always be displayed, which indicates a valid result. In this way, the device can accurately indicate the presence of influenza virus antigen in the specimen.

REAGENTS AND MATERIALS

-10 test bags with cards and disposable drip

-10 bottles of test buffer (1000μL per bottle)

-10 bags of cotton sticks

-1 package insert

TEST PROCEDURE

- Use a cotton swab to collect the dog's eye, nose, or anal secretions and moisten the swab thoroughly.

- Insert the swab into the provided test buffer tube.

- Agitate it to obtain effective sample extraction.

- Remove test equipment from aluminum foil bag and place horizontally.

- Draw the treated sample from the test buffer tube and drop 3 drops into the sample hole "S" of the test equipment.

- Explain the results in 5-10 minutes.

- The result after 10 minutes is considered invalid.

INTERPRETATION OF RESULTS

- Positive (+): The presence of both "C" line and zone "T" line, no matter T line is clear or vague.

- Negative (-): Only clear C line appear. No T line.

- Invalid: No colored line appears in C zone. No matter if T line appears.
